Born in south western Virginia, Abram Hurley grew up listening to an eclectic mix of bluegrass icons like Ralph Stanley and Earl Scruggs alongside contemporary mainstream artists like Nirvana and Alice in Chains.
Later in life, listening to Billy Strings inspired him to play bluegrass and dedicate his time to music.
Bringing together elements of rock, country, and bluegrass, his own style started to emerge.
After going through some heavy personal experiences, music became an outlet and a way to connect with listeners to bring hope that they are never alone in their issues.
"A Little Hopeless" reflects on personal pain and hopelessness, and the innate need to share those feelings lest we drown in them.
